Oranges Navel are larger among the varieties of orange. Produce a a fruit without seeds, with a shell of bright orange color, easy peelflavour sweet and nice. Can be early maturing, intermediate, or late.
Differ by having a small fruit side integrated in the apex of the fruit is primary. This feature is sometimes found in other orange, and in particular in the mandarin, is never constant and it varies according to the climatic factors.
Its cultivation requires a lot of knowledgebecause their trees are less vigorous, low-productivity and low adaptability to climate than that of other varieties.
Some varieties of the family of the Navel are suitable to make juice, which acts as antioxidantfavoring all our immune system.

The origin of the orange Navel referred to the year 1820, in Brazil, when in the garden of a monastery there was a mutation of a fruit in which the base had developed what we might call a second orange, much smaller. Known as the navel of the orange.
