Although far from Williams, Packham''s Triumph is the second in importance in the production of pears in argentina.
Is self-incompatible and his habit of early flowering requires a good choice of pollinator; among others it can be pollinated by Beurré , D’ Anjou and Abate Fetel.
The fruit is piriformis, with a wide base and short, medium to large, from 270 to 280 grams of weight, with the surface covered with numerous protuberances.
The peduncle is long), curved, of thickness medium, woody vertical insert, and the stalk cavity is hardly defined.
The epidermis color light green and it changes to yellow at maturity, with numerous lenticels dark and remarkable.
The pulp it is creamy white, consistentfine textured, aromatic, juicy, sweet slightly tangy and very good organoleptic quality.

The origin of the pear Packams Triumph dating back to 1896, when two trees were grafted to create a new variety, in a village called Molong, in New south Wales (Australia).
